Potential voters will sign a log sheet (one voter/representative per business)

In order to vote as a commercial voter, an individual needs to meet the following criteria that is stated in our by-laws:

“A local business person…is a local business person or not-for-profit owner, operator, or designee at a non-residential real property address in the community planning area or who owns any parcel of commercially or industrially zoned real property in the planning area”

This means that individuals who will vote as a local business person need to present a San Diego Tax License with a business address that is a non-residential real property address (not P.O. boxes). This also excludes businesses that are operating out of a home (residential). These individuals will have to vote in their census tract (not commercial).

Commercial voters will be able to vote up to the number of open commercial seats. This year there are 3 commercial seats up for election. Commercial voters will be able to vote up to 3 individuals to be seated in those seats. A voter does not have to vote for all 3, but are allowed to vote up to 3.
